Mad About The Boy by Helen Fielding

I just finished reading the latest installment of the Bridget Jones story. I didn’t read any reviews prior to starting the book as I didn’t want to know what happened. Tends to spoil things when people tell you all about the key points.

Bridget was her usual mess of getting things wrong and making people laugh. I found it interesting the level of research that Helen Fielding did into Internet dating as preparation for the book. Having recently tried Internet dating and meeting a younger man I could relate in some small way to some of the good and difficult points outlined in the book.

I was a fan of the Bridget Jones books and movies but sitting down to watch the first film now I’m not sure it holds the test of time. I did enjoy this book and I look forward to the movie.
