One Night in Italy by Lucy Diamond

I think my love of all things Italian attracted me to this book and I’m glad it did as it was a really nice read.

It revolves around the lives of a group of people thrown together by an Italian language class. Each has their own reason for attending but none of them could foresee just how important the class and the friendship group would become.

The characters are warm and heartfelt and you want them to have a happy ending. It was a nice easy book to read and I found myself getting through it quite quickly. I even picked up a couple of Italian words along the way!

I liked the fact that at the back of the book there are some Italian phrases and a couple of recipes as used by one of the characters and I might even give the Tiramisu a try, see if it’s as good as the one I had for breakfast in Lido De Jesolo.

I did smile to myself when Lido De Jesolo made an appearance in the book, it was a nice little reminder of my holiday there last year too!
